Photo of the Week

Welcome to the latest section of my blog, Photo of the Week. This as the name suggests will be a regular feature of the blog and I intend to post it ever Wednesday most of the time it will feature the my favourite photo from those I have taken in the preceding week although occasional I may show someone elses photo that I find especially interesting or inspirational.

In the coming weeks look out for my photo of the week on a monday morning.

So to get us started here is the first ever Photo of the Week.

This was taken at Ravenscraig beach in Kirkcaldy and the view is looking east along the Forth. It was taken right before sunset. I have done a couple of thing with this in post processing, first up I darken the sky in Lightroom using the grad filter tool then used the local adjustment brush to bring the tower and rocks on the left back to the correct exposure. I also tweaked the overall contrast a bit then made a couple of different layers to increase the sharpness on the rocks and to boost the saturation of the moss to make the green pop a bit more. Over all im reasonably happy with this shot tho I think it needs something a little more tho I just can’t quite decide what that is.
