365 Project Day 16 - Wild Animals in GlasgowAnother 365 Project! Day 1 – Modern Music
Ok so that title might be slightly misleading. I suspect the chances of me making it to 365 days are pretty damn slim in fact I’ll be thoroughly impressed if I make it to 30 days in row. That being said 27 days with some gaps project doesn’t quite have the same ring to it so im just going to call it a 365, if it takes me 800 days to post those 365 photos well that will just have to be ok.
Why I’m Starting a 365
It only takes a fraction of a second to snap a photo and yet over the last couple of months I’ve barely taken a photo claiming not enough time. The weather has also been pretty poor recently wich doesnt help. After snapping a couple of random Instagram shots and sharing them a couple of days ago I decided it was time i got back to doing this stuff more regularly and i started toying with the idea of doing a 365. I was a bit reluctant due to the high chances of failing so I though what about just doing 30 days and if that goes well then do another month. After a bit more thought i decided “what the hell!” just go for the 365, nothing to lose if it falls apart except for a little pride so… Here Goes!
What I’m Going To do
I’m going to try to take a new photo every day but i know right now that I wont manage that so instead im going to try to commit to sharing a new photo everyday. Where possible it will be a photo taken that day and never before seen. Sometimes it will be a new photo but maybe not taken that day, when I get really stuck I might grab something from my archive, could be something unseen or maybe just an old favourite that worth sharing again.
As im going to TRY and take a new photo every day you should probably expect some phone cam shots and probably even some Instagram fun. My Phone is the camera that i always have with me after all. If Iphoneography (or Androidphoneography in my case) and Instagram get your back up, you might just want to avoid a lot of this series. There will hopefully be plenty of quality pictures taken with a “real” camera as well.
Day 1
My shot for Day 1 is right at the top of the post. I thought for the first photo I would go for something a little conceptual. The music industry has changed massively in the last 5-10 year with sales of physical media dwindling massively and digital consumption continue to rise. I wanted to illustrate the shift in a single frame. What do you think?
